Yanita Georgieva is a poet and journalist. She was born in Bulgaria, raised in Lebanon, and now lives in London. Her debut pamphlet Small Undetectable Thefts received the Eric Gregory Prize in 2024.

In 2022, she won the Out-Spoken Prize for Page Poetry and has been shortlisted for awards including the Aesthetica Prize, the Ivan Juritz Prize, the Manchester Cathedral Prize, and the The Cúirt New Writing Prize. She runs generative poetry workshops for The Poetry School, The Southbank Centre, Stanza, and elsewhere.

She is an alumna of the Southbank New Poets Collective and the London Library Emerging Writers Scheme and runs the international poetry collective Dreamboat. Her work has appeared in The London Magazine, Poetry Wales, Poetry London and elsewhere.

Since 2015, she has worked for the BBC World Service. She teaches digital journalism at universities including the Danish School of Media and Journalism and University of the Arts London.
